Momentum is building

As of November 3, 2020 the states of Mississippi, Arizona, New Jersey, South Dakota and Montana all passed legislation permitting the possession of Marijuana by adults. In total, 15 states have legalized recreational use or have voted to legalize it, and 36 states permit legal distribution for medical use. The rise in support for cannabis legalization can be boiled down to several factors, such as an increased awareness of the medical benefits of the plant, evidence of the economic benefits of legalization, such as those seen in Illinois recently, who has sold over half a billion dollars worth of weed in less than a year. Next, look for Texas to join the ranks of the billion dollar producers.
